A wave of national outrage has trailed the shocking and heartbreaking death of Mr. Fatai Adegoke, a dedicated teacher at Soun High School, Ogbomoso, Oyo State, who was brutally attacked and beaten to death by his own students after he tried to stop them from gambling during school hours.

According to eyewitness reports, the late Mr. Adegoke confronted a group of students caught gambling inside a classroom and reprimanded them for their unruly behavior. Unfortunately, what was meant to be a disciplinary correction quickly turned violent as the students allegedly descended on him in a vicious assault that left him with broken limbs and severe internal injuries.

He was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital but, tragically, he did not survive the injuries sustained in the attack.
