The Egbema Youth Council (EYC) has entered a new era of visionary leadership and youth-driven transformation as Rt. Hon. ThankGod Mike Ugedi, a passionate advocate of community development and founder of Delta Event TV, emerged as the new Deputy Speaker of the 3rd Mobile Parliament, Egbema Youth Council.
The news of his emergence was greeted with jubilation across the Egbema Kingdom, particularly within Opuama Community, where his leadership journey began. The atmosphere was filled with renewed optimism as youths and stakeholders expressed confidence in his capacity to serve with integrity, humility, and genuine commitment.

In an emotional message of appreciation, Rt. Hon. ThankGod Mike Ugedi extended deep gratitude to Egbema leaders, elders, and youths whose encouragement, mentorship, and prayers paved the way for his success.
He described his new role not as a personal achievement but as “a divine mandate to serve and uplift the youth constituency of Egbema Kingdom.”
“This position is not just a title — it is a divine reward for years of sacrifice, hard work, and consistency in promoting Egbema Kingdom through Delta Event TV,” he declared with emotion.
Recalling his long-standing dedication to showcasing the beauty, strength, and culture of Egbema Kingdom through the media, Ugedi said that even in the face of limited financial support, his love for the land and its people kept him going.
“Even when there was no financial support, I kept pushing Egbema Kingdom media-wise because of my deep love for our land and people. I believe the late Pere of the Kingdom and many leaders would bear witness to my commitment,” he said.
Honoring Mentors and Pillars of Support
Rt. Hon. Ugedi paid glowing tributes to several key figures who inspired and supported him along the way. He specifically mentioned Hon. Alhaji E. Omoko for his steadfast support, Hon. Spencer Okoye for his encouragement, Amb. Jude Ukori, JP. for his wisdom, and Victor German and Revd. Dr. S.O.T. Macaulay for their fatherly guidance.
“To all these great men and others whose names I may not mention for some reasons, I say thank you. Your encouragement, patronage and belief in me gave me strength when I needed it most,” he added.
His acknowledgment also extended to his wife, Mrs. Believe Ugedi, for her unwavering support and understanding throughout his journey.

The newly inaugurated Deputy Speaker also expressed heartfelt appreciation to the youths of Opuama and the entire Egbema Kingdom for standing by him. He recognized the loyalty and partnership of fellow youth leaders including Aaron Daniel, Hon. Austin Sule, Governor Ekpokeme, Shagari Sobo, Moses Ugular, OYaw President Ezekiel, Mike Blackman, Benjamin F. Ukori Manny, Melody Ukori, Michael Ugedi, Abraham Igbiriki, Gen. Silas, Sholar Korokoro, Bob Joe, Douya Roman, and many others who have shared in his vision for youth empowerment.
“These are my brothers in the struggle for a better Egbema. Their courage and belief in our dream inspire me daily,” he remarked.

Looking ahead, Rt. Hon. Ugedi pledged that his tenure would be anchored on humility, loyalty, and developmental service.
“I will remain loyal to the leadership of Egbema Kingdom and continue to seek their wisdom. My focus will be on using this position to impact lives positively, especially among the youths of Opuama and the entire Egbema Kingdom,” he assured.
He further revealed plans to launch the Digital Youth Empowerment Initiative, a project designed to provide training, mentorship, and access to digital opportunities for young people in Egbema.
“This is just the beginning. My passion is to see Egbema youth rise, be empowered, and take pride in our Kingdom. May God bless us all and continue to prosper Egbema Kingdom,” he concluded.
