Idjerhe Kingdom, Delta State — October 6, 2025:

In a heartfelt public appreciation message, Comrade Onajite Ikogho has openly extolled the virtues and extraordinary leadership qualities of Hon. Chief (Barr) Dr. John Obukohwo Nani, the Executive Chairman of the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC). His tribute came as a warm gesture on the First Sunday of October 2025, reflecting the deep bond between the leader and his people in Idjerhe Kingdom.

A Leader Called by God and Ancestors

Comrade Ikogho described Hon. Chief Nani as “the most effective political leader in Idjerhe Kingdom,” highlighting his resilience in the face of provocations and opposition from what he termed “the enemies of progress.” According to him, the DESOPADEC Boss’s ability to forgive and move on quickly after challenges stems from his divine and ancestral calling to serve the kingdom with integrity and vision.

“You were brought into power by God and the Idjerhe Ancestors for the purpose of development and progress of the Kingdom. You have vowed to complete this noble task before leaving this planet earth,” Ikogho said.

Divine Protection and Continuous Elevation

The statement further underscored Ikogho’s conviction that those who plan evil against Hon. Chief Nani will inevitably fail, while God and the ancestors continue to lift him to unexpected heights. He expressed confidence that Nani’s leadership will continue to bring transformation to Idjerhe Kingdom, solidifying his place as one of its greatest political sons.

Personal Gratitude and Loyalty

In an emotional tone, Comrade Ikogho thanked Hon. Chief Nani for standing by him through thick and thin, despite the efforts of detractors.

“Thank you for still holding me with your right hand, despite all the wicked ones say about me. My values remain with you forever. You never shame me,” he declared.

Ikogho expressed faith that just as God and the ancestors continue to lift Nani, so will the leader uplift him as well, “just to prove the enemies wrong.” He concluded with a resounding affirmation of trust and loyalty, stating: “I trust you for greatness, and I shall not be disappointed.”
