🌍 Tubutoru Kingdom Set to Host Grand Ibe Day Festival in Ondo State

The Tubutoru Kingdom Ijaw Traditional Ruling Council in Odigbo Local Government Area of Ondo State has officially announced its much-anticipated cultural extravaganza — the Tubutoru Ibe Day Festival.

This historic festival will be held at Taribor, the cultural, traditional, and administrative headquarters of the kingdom. Taribor is also the throne seat of His Royal Majesty, Pere (King) Dr. Gbebokedi D. Ajirioba, the Eseimokumor, Ogonikara I, the Great Diamond, Torugbo, Uguruyeke, Tietietorubein, and the renowned Agadagba of the ancient Tubutoru Kingdom.


📅 Festival Schedule

  • 12th October 2025 – Accreditation of guests, from 8 am till 6 pm.

  • 13th October 2025 – Full cultural events begin at 6 am and run into the early hours of 14th October 2025.
    Activities will include:

    • Traditional Ogele

    • Cultural displays

    • Pouring of libation to appease the mighty deities

    • Rituals of cleansing

    • Entertainment of guests with traditional music and dances


🎶 Cultural Richness

The festival promises an unforgettable atmosphere with music to be supplied by a highly revered musician from the Niger Delta. The event is expected to attract guests from across Nigeria and the Diaspora, showcasing the resilience and rich cultural heritage of the Ijaw people.

In a joint statement, the Tubutoru Kingdom Feast Organizing Committee and the Traditional Ruling Council extended a heartfelt invitation:

“Come one, come all! The Tubutoru Ibe Day Festival is not just a celebration but a rebirth of culture, unity, and identity for the Ijaw people.”
