The leadership of Ijaw Youth Council (IYC), Western Zone don raise strong voice of warning give Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, say him recent statement no make sense and e fit ginger wahala for Warri Federal Constituency if dem no quick do something.

For statement wey Chairman Comrade Nicholas Igarama, Secretary Ebi Joshua Olowolayemo Esq., and Information Officer Comrade Tare Magbei sign, dem talk say true leader suppose put people interest first before him own political ambition.

But the Governor recent talk say him votes for 2027 election dey more important pass peace, life and property of people wey dey Warri Federal Constituency. IYC call this talk “unbecoming” for person wey be Chief Security Officer of the state and say na big insult to the people of Warri.

⚠️ WARRI FIT CATCH FIRE AGAIN

Warri don always be place wey tension dey high, and according to IYC, the place dey now for edge of another serious crisis. Dem say instead make Governor Sheriff gather stakeholders do peace talk, e dey busy dey think about him political future.

“The tension dey real, everybody dey pray say make wahala no start, but instead make Governor do wetin go bring peace, e just dey look him 2027 ambition,” na so IYC talk.

IYC still accuse the Governor say na the reason why Chairman of Warri South LGA get mind team up with some Nigeria Police people go dismantle publicity materials of Ogbe-Ijoh Warri Kingdom and their king. Dem warn say this kain action fit vex people scatter and cause trouble wey no suppose happen.

🛑 INEC WARD DELINEATION MATTER

The IYC say dem worry well-well about how Governor Sheriff dey handle the INEC Ward Delineation Exercise. Dem say the Governor position fit even scatter the place more if dem no handle am with sense and fairness.

“Governor Sheriff position for this delineation exercise be like dangerous weapon wey fit start fire for Warri,” na wetin dem talk.

✊ IYC DEMAND

IYC Western Zone don call Governor Sheriff to:

  • Quickly withdraw him talk.

  • Apologize to all ethnic groups for Warri Federal Constituency.

  • Remember say him be Chief Security Officer of Delta State and act like one.

  • Call urgent meeting with stakeholders to settle the tension before e pass control.

🔑 “WARRI NO BE PLAYGROUND FOR POLITICS”

IYC warn say Warri peace no be something wey dem go sacrifice for anybody political ambition.

“Warri no suppose be place wey dem go use do politics play. Time to act na now, before words and inaction go plant seed of crisis wey go later hard to stop,” na so the statement end.
