“We are at a defining moment in Nigeria’s economic trajectory. Those who sacrifice personal comfort for national security and economic revival must be protected, not persecuted,” Gbasin wrote.
He concluded by urging the federal government to consider bestowing a National Honour on Tompolo in recognition of his role in restoring Nigeria’s oil output and sustaining national unity in the oil-producing states.
