Yenkes Ebiwoni and His Young Grandmasters Band Make Passionate Appeal for Support
A Call to Tompolo, Engr. Kestin Pondi, Tantita Security Services, Chief Promise Lawuru, Ambassador City Iyekorogha Ojowuru, and the Entire Izon Nation

In the heart of the Niger Delta, where the sound of the drum speaks louder than words and the flute carries the voices of our ancestors, one man continues to preserve, promote, and pass on the vibrant musical heritage of the Ijaw people — that man is Yenkes Ebiwoni.
As the founder of Yenkes Musical Foundation and leader of Yenkes Ebiwoni and His Young Grandmasters Musical Band of Africa, he has nurtured a rising generation of young, talented instrumentalists and performers from across the riverine communities.
However, their dream is currently threatened by a severe lack of standard musical instruments and technical equipment. Despite their rising popularity, the band continues to perform using borrowed or outdated gear.
"I am appealing with all humility to our father, High Chief Government Ekpemupolo a.k.a Tompolo, Engr. Kestin Pondi, Tantita Security Services, Chief Promise Lawuru (Ozigizaga of Niger Delta), Ambassador City Iyekorogha Ojowuru, and every well-meaning Izon leader across Nigeria and the diaspora."
"Our vision is not just entertainment; it’s about cultural preservation and youth empowerment. With your support, we can equip the next generation of musicians with the tools they need to tell our stories through sound."
The group is appealing for:
- Professional drum sets
- Sound mixers, microphones, and PA systems
- Traditional percussion instruments
- Electric guitars and keyboards
- Logistics and mobility support for performances
This is more than a funding request — it is a cultural investment into the soul of the Ijaw people. With the right tools, these passionate youths can become ambassadors of Izon sound and tradition across Africa and the world.
Let us not allow this fire to die. Let us fuel it. Let us fund it.
🎤 From the creeks to the cities — let the sound of Ijaw greatness be heard!
