🐊 WILDLIFE SERIES: WHEN CROCODILE CHOP WRONG MEAT
By Seigha Dora Ayedi | Global Egberi Media International
Once upon a not-so-silent afternoon in the grasslands of Mama Africa, a crocodile—infamously known as Inspector Kpokpo—decided it was time to upgrade his diet. His target? A lone buffalo, casually sipping river water like it was cold zobo on a hot Sunday afternoon.
Confident in his stealth skills, Kpokpo lunged forward and clamped onto the buffalo’s leg like he just discovered suya. But what he didn’t know was that this wasn’t just any buffalo... it was part of the Buffalo Avengers.
As soon as the poor buffalo screamed “help me oh!”, the ground began to shake. No, it wasn’t an earthquake. It was the Herd of Justice, stampeding toward the riverbank like angry Ijaw aunties who arrived late to a wedding and discovered the jollof rice had finished.
Leading the charge was General Horns of Justice, who wasted no time in serving the crocodile a two-piece combo of horn and hoof. Kpokpo tried to wiggle away like he just saw WAEC results, but the herd surrounded him.
One stomp. Two slaps with hooves. And then a message delivered in fluent buffalo grammar: “Touch one of us, touch all of us!”
The humbled crocodile scrambled back into the river with his pride injured and his hunger unsatisfied. Meanwhile, the buffalo brother dusted himself off and declared, “Na so small hunger wan end my destiny today.”
🌟 Moral Lesson:
- Unity is strength—even in the animal kingdom.
- Never underestimate the power of family and community.
- And most importantly, don’t try to bite more than you can chew—especially when the herd is watching!
