Born in the calm waterside town of Patani, Delta State, Sir Bibowei James Braie was a child destined for greatness — or as his mother once joked, “this one cried like a bishop from birth.” He was raised in a family so spiritually upright that even the alarm clock prayed before ringing.
With Late Nicholas L. Braie and Late Layreader Chief Mrs. S. A. Braie Oborokumo as parents, he had no choice but to grow up in both faith and wisdom. This was not just a Christian home; it was a seminary with homework.
The Braie household is historically legendary for producing six knights from the same parents. At this point, people stopped asking if greatness ran in the family — they just assumed it lived there permanently!

Sir Bibowei is one of the most seasoned insurance professionals in Nigeria. If insurance were music, he’d be Fela with a calculator. His passion for risk management is so strong, rumor has it he insures his breakfast.

As Secretary General of Kabowei Forum Worldwide, Sir Bibowei ensures cultural dialogues happen in English, Ijaw, and subtle wisdom.
And as State President of the Boys’ Brigade Nigeria (re-elected, of course), even the drums obey his command.

Behind this great man is a great woman — Lady Pamela Ebiere Ehimwenma Braie, a teacher, health worker, and all-round CEO of “Operation Keep Bibowei Grounded.” Their union is a beautiful blend of tradition, prayer, and silent eye signals during long meetings.
Together, they’ve raised children, grandchildren, and mentored others like garden plants: with care, faith, and plenty of watering.
