In a defining moment for Arogbo-Ibe Kingdom’s political destiny, a fervent call for unity has risen—not from government chambers or traditional seats of power, but from the passionate heart of its youth. Comr. Owei Ebitibi Maicon, a seasoned student leader and voice of the younger generation, has sounded the alarm: "Unite now or risk losing Arogbo forever."

Currently serving as the Acting President of the National Association of Arogbo-Ibe/Ijaw Students (NAAIIS) Worldwide and the Spokesman of the National Union of Izon-Ibe Students (NUIS) Worldwide, Maicon delivered a powerful declaration aimed at the upcoming 2027 political era. “Let it be known,” he stated, “that this political dispensation must not divide or destroy us. It must unify and build us.”

Framing 2027 as a turning point that could either create a new foundation or fracture the kingdom’s unity, Maicon’s warning was both urgent and rooted in love for Arogbo-Ibe. He fiercely condemned internal sabotage, ego-centric politics, and blackmail, describing them as enemies of development and chains holding the kingdom back.

“We must reject toxic politics that pit brother against brother and dreams against despair. Criticism and blackmail are not strategies; they are shackles. They enslave us.”

In his open letter to political heavyweights including Hon. D.I. Kekemeke, Hon. Kingsley Kuku, Snr. High Chief Bibopiri Ajube, and Hon. Donald Ojogo, Maicon called for statesmanship, not just politics. “You are the custodians of Arogbo’s future. The people are watching. History will remember whether you chose peace and progress or power and pride.”

Maicon is no stranger to advocacy. As a former National General Secretary of the Federation of Ese-Odo Local Government Students, he has long championed the causes of youth inclusion, regional cohesion, and education. His work bridges the grassroots with governance, and his consistent commitment speaks volumes.

“With every position I’ve held,” he said, “my mission has been to see Arogbo rise, to unite our people, and to ensure our children inherit a kingdom they can be proud of.”

He closed with a powerful reminder: “This is bigger than 2027. It’s about Arogbo’s rightful place in Ondo State, in the Niger Delta, and in the Ijaw nation. Rise now—or fall divided.”

At a time when silence spells stagnation, voices like Maicon’s shine as a rallying point. Arogbo-Ibe's future will be decided not in whispers but in the boldness of truth, vision, and unified purpose.
