The Director General for Security matter for Delta State, Hon. David Tonwe, don raise alarm say the kain crime and bad character wey dey happen for Delta State don too much, and e no go fit stop unless everybody join hand with government and security people make dem fight am.
Hon. Tonwe talk say things like kidnap, drug abuse, cultism, and other criminal waka don dey scatter peace for the state, and the only way to stop am na if everybody stand gidigba and do their part.
Make Community Leaders and Youth Groups Stand Up
The DG beg community leaders, churches, mosques, youth bodies, and even market women say make dem no siddon look. Make dem start dey talk to people for their area – especially the youth – say crime no be the way. E say if we no do sensitisation well, the small children wey we dey raise today go turn to wahala tomorrow.
E talk say civil society organisations need to dey share correct information with security people, and dem go also need to join hand for community policing to work well.
Emergency Line Still Dey Work
Hon. Tonwe remind people say the Operation Delta Sweep emergency lines still dey active. If you see anything wey no clear or suspicious person, call the number. E talk say security people go respond sharp-sharp because them dey standby to protect everybody.
Wahala People Wey Dey Find Political Attention
As the DG dey yarn, e still use the opportunity warn some people wey dey use blackmail and lie take find political attention. E talk say dem kind action na real enemy of progress and e fit bring confusion come the state.
“Na Delta we all get,” e talk. “No be today dem go use politics take scatter peace wey we dey try build. If you no get wetin to contribute, no go pull the state down.”
Make Everybody Play Their Part
Hon. Tonwe use style beg everybody for Delta State say make dem play their part. Security na everybody business. As government dey do their part, make the people too support. With unity and proper cooperation, e sure say the state go peaceful again.
